BRAWW Law was proud to participate in the inaugural Career Day hosted by the Career Development Office at the Georgia State University College of Law. Attorneys Jessica Wood and Chris Day, both proud GSU Law alumni, attended on behalf of the firm and spent the evening connecting with students from across all class years.

Held at the law school’s downtown Atlanta campus, the event welcomed an impressive 350 registered students, all eager to meet employers, explore practice areas, and learn more about potential career paths. Jessica and Chris spoke with dozens of attendees, sharing insights about litigation practice, career development, and what it’s like to build a career at a boutique firm with a broad range of practice areas.

As described by GSU’s Career Development Office, the inaugural event aimed to create a welcoming, accessible environment for students at every stage of their legal education. The Career Day brought together:

  • Students from all class years
  • Dozens of employers representing diverse practice areas
  • A structured yet informal setting designed to support conversation and exploration
  • A shared excitement from students “anxiously awaiting” the opportunity to engage with practitioners

BRAWW’s table saw steady interest throughout the evening, particularly among students curious about litigation strategy, corporate legal work, and the business of running a modern law practice.

For Jessica and Chris, returning to their alma mater as employer representatives was especially meaningful. Both have strong ties to GSU Law, and events like Career Day reflect BRAWW Law’s ongoing commitment to fostering the growth of emerging professionals in the Atlanta legal community.

As the inaugural year, the event sets a strong foundation for future Career Days, and BRAWW looks forward to staying involved as this new tradition grows.
